ECO-LEADER TRAINING

Thanks to seed funding from NOAA’s Planet Stewards program, LimPiaR launched the Eco-Leader Training Initiative—an ongoing program to reduce waste and grow local environmental leadership. In just one year, we trained 20 youth Eco-Leaders, engaged 719 students from 15 schools through 20 educational events, and removed over 8,200 pounds of waste from the coastal ecosystems of Loíza. Our proudest achievement? Empowering students to become educators and helping spark a community-wide movement for sustainability.
