More than a cleanup.

Coastal Connection brings people together to explore, learn about, and care for Puerto Rico’s coastal ecosystems through environmental education, hands-on experiences, and collective action.

During our monthly events, participants explore the surrounding ecosystem using tools such as iNaturalist, learn about coastal ecology and conservation, and take direct action through a guided coastal cleanup. Volunteers also learn how to properly sort, classify, and recover recyclable materials, helping divert as much of the collected waste as possible from landfills.

But Coastal Connection goes beyond removing waste. Through interactive activities and environmental education, participants of all ages discover the connection between the waste we generate, our everyday choices, and the health of our coastal and marine ecosystems. Most importantly, they leave with practical ways to reduce waste and take action at home and in their communities.

Whether you join us individually, with your family, or as part of a group, Coastal Connection is an opportunity to reconnect with nature, contribute to healthier coastlines, and become part of the solution.
